Trouble is... I have no idea how to teach it to Bicki!
So recently I got some finger bicycles for Bicki from ebay:
They are the perfect size for Bicki. (It's convenient how small he is; everything's so cheap for him
)
But yeah, as I said, I have no idea how I'm going to teach him how to ride a bicycle!
I'm going to add training wheels to the bike, there's no way he'd be able to ride the bike on his own. Many birds have learnt how to ride a bike but they've all had training wheels. Those birds are also mainly large birds like macaws etc. I've never seen a lovebird ride a bike before, this would be brilliant if I taught him how! I'd love to show that size isn't a factor! That lovebirds are just as gifted as larger birds blah blah blah...
So yeah, first of all, I've dismantled one of the bikes to make a unicycle:
The first step I believe is to get Bicki to put his feet on the pedals. I thought it would be easier if I dismantled the whole bike and got him to focus on the pedals first. However, I've tried to make him put his feet specifically on the pedals but he just stands on the wheel or something else. It's been quite difficult. I think that if I just nail this step then the rest will come automatically. I hope at least.
I don't expect anyone to know how to teach a bird to ride a bicycle lol! But if you guys have any suggestions at all I would really appreciate it!
