At least I think so.When I receive visitores , Precious flys to them and lands on their shoulder or head. Recently the yard around my place was mowed and cleaned. While Precious didn't like it,when it was too noisy, other times he just sat and watched.Birds outside seem to get him overexcited. So much so,that I have to close the blinds to calm him down. from Robert and Precious

That is lovely Robert that Precious is so tame and quiet he loves the company of humans. It also seems he loves to watch and look at what is going on outside....even if it does excite him ;D Just too cute ;D

Thanks Tracey,Precious is so cute.Lovebirds seem to lack the ability to have multibonds with other birds. Even in the wild, they really only have one mate, and bond to that other bird tightly. While they travel around in small groups, that is for finding food and protection from enemies. It is not for multi friends. When I see a lovebird and another bird of a different species, getting on really well together,it is extremely likely they were handraised together.Still,it does look lovely and extremely interesting to see.But it can promote a false perception. I am not sure how handraising affects how Lovies relate with humans.Last night I had some visitors, and this young man was reading one of my bird magazines. Precious eventually flew to his shoulder and walked down his arm a bit ,and just stayed there for quite a while, watching the magazine,as this young man was reading it. from Robert and Precious

Precious sounds just the way he should be.................spoilt rotten. Why wouldn't you love humans more??? He gets all the undivided attention that he wants from you John, so he doesn't even think about other birds! What a life, what a smart bird!
