Hi everyone, Does anyone else use flightsuits? They are a great invention...a user and bird friendly harness and they collect the poop too! Monty is ok with his, a bit of trouble to get him in, but then we go for long walks..or just sit outside on the balcony, whenever he has it on, it leads to good things, so he doesn't mind it too much Here's a photo of him in it, it's a little dark and was taken when i first got him.

Nice pic kjjl. I think they are the funniest things invented, they crack me up laughing. ;D ;D Sorry but I don't think I would every use one. My pet tiels are free flighted & strictly house birds, but hey if it works why not. I have this picture in my mind of someone walking down the street with bird in tow & it starts me laughing & the person would think I am laughing at them. Cheers Anna

lol well i did think the same..but no he is on my shoulder..not flying next to me as we walk lol alll the little old ladies stop us when we are walking and go goo gaa over him..its SO sweet...eheh and we pick him up goodies along the way, bottlebrush or grevillia, i fill my pockets and he gets a nice treat it is a funny look though...i've been in shops with him...like the general store... and my friend just ordered some and her tiel goes on the motorbike with her!!LOL with my old tiel toby he was so good..i would go outside with him on my shoulder all the time...until the day he flew away (we'd beenon holidays and he was upset with us...and i was holding him in the car and got out and he flew out of my hands) but monty is such a different bird..if anything is the slightest different noise...he automatically flies..he's skittish..so the suit is best for us

I can't say I'm a lover of flightsuits or harness, maybe because I spent nearly $40 on a you beat harness for my birds and they just about turned themselves inside out getting it off, they ended up hanging upside down on the end of the leash trying to chew through it, they completely freaked out, probebly need to train them from a fairly young age if it is going to work, it would of been nice if my guys had cooperated though

Now that is one thing I would like to see, a tiel on a motorcycle ROFPML. How cute would that be. I can just imagine the old duckies gooing over monty. I can just imagine trying to get my pet ringneck into one of those flight suits. It would be called the amazing ringie houdini as the little beggar would have it chewed in minutes. ;D . Cheers Anna

I had a leg strap for my Sulpher Crested when he used to go out side but he hated it so I finished up letting him go out without one he was fine until one afternoon he decided to go for a fly and landed six houses away, scared the living blazes out of him he hasnt been outside since every time we take him out he makes a run for the back door to get back inside ;D

i took this one tonight...he was very unpleased at the fact since i hadn't used it in a few weeks..oops hehe oh..and these are different to the normal harnesses..no way of slipping out of these ones..and i test it sooo much before hand..squeezing ittight, making sure he is in place..and i throw him over the bed to make sure he can't fly lol and the lanyard attached makes the whole thing quite heavy for him to fly far anyway if he did get away
