OK guys i am so proud of this & just had to share. First pic is Gypsy's latest chick & the orange one was from the clutch before. OMG she is so Red compared to the other hen. Robyn.

No nothing wrong with them at all but i would dearly love to know why this happened. I guess its just going to have to stay a mystery. But glad i got them tested what with The PBFD & Polyomavirus that can infect nestlings the money spent was well worth it. Robyn.

These pics just take me back. I do love when they are so little and so helpless. Being able to share in their precious upbringing is a feeling that not many people get to do in a lifetime. I love and cherish every moment that I spend with any of my birds. Your eckies are sweet, and a real credit to you. And I can't thank you enough for the pics, I luv 'em!

On the cover of a book called something like Mutations & Genetics in parrots by ABK productons there is a Blue Eckie! I am amazed that that female eckie turned out orange!!!!

But she moulted out to be a normal red........Robyn has shown pics of her during her moult and her new feathers were growing back the normal colour.
Yes in my ekkie book there are pics of blue ekkies and they are stunning.....but then I love blue birds. ;D
