Hi Jo, Unfortunately both anna and I have lost babies....mine only 2 days ago. We were discussing it under a thread in the Cockatiel section called 'Lost a chick' if you wanted to read about it. Seems no-one is sure why but we would all like some answers ....from somewhere! Jo-Anne

Hubby & I spent all morning cleaning out our pet bird cages & have to admit my 3 ringneck cages are very messy, plus the little buggers decided to have a bath & mess it up again.. Tiels are so much cleaner I rekon. Anna

I've found sitting in the food dishes is a hen thing, my boys don't do it, but girls do. What do others think?

Hi Kim.....have to laugh, one of my pet girl tiels loves to sit in her round feed bowl especially when I have just re-filled it....I think she gets great pleasues out of it, by stomping her feet up and down and the seed just goes everywhere LOL.....I fill the dish and she get in and stomps away, I'm sure she knows what she is doing because she watches me as she does it, if she could poke out her tongue I'm sure she would ;D

Have to agree with you Polly, they certainly do know what they are doing. My ringneck Noddy dicovered a new game with me, he nips me then says ouch, then looks at me with those innocent eyes & then tells me he is a cheeky boy & in the next breath he tells me he loves me. How can I stay mad at him. But I swear he knows exactly what he is doing. He waits till I'm not looking then sneaks in a nip & then looks at me for a reaction. I have one male tiel who gets into his seed dish boots & all to eat & I have even found him snoozing in it. Cheers Anna
