Well i just went out and brought a 1kg bag of passwell parrot pellets, I put some into a bowl in his cage and he seems to be eating it so far so is MoJo my normal green cheek conure. So it looks like i can probably introduce any pellets to my sun and probably MoJo and they will eat them. Now just have to find out which is better maintenance pellets or south american &medium breeder pellets.

Having read the ingredients I think I'll keep on with the passwell pellets and tropican.

I just did the math from vet n pet direct 10kgs of vetafarm south american pellets $87.85 including postage, 10kgs of passwell parrot pellets $69.35 including postage so i wander if a $18.50 saving is good enough. Passwell pellets Min Crude Protein 15% Min Crude Fat 5% Max Fibre 7% Max Salt 1% Vetafarm south american pellets Crude Protein 17% Methionine 0.42% Crude Fat 7.5% Vitamin E 190 mg/Kg Crude Fibre 4% Vitamin A 6,000 iu/Kg Lysine 0.95% Calcium 0.8%
So i'm guessing out of both of them vetafarm pellets are the best. Looks like i might have to stretch my budget a bit more if thats the case. I don't know what other bird pellets there are that aren't too expensive.
