Hmm this is a hard one as my 2 green cheek conures are fairly quiet, They are only noisy couple of times a day or if aqua the quaker gets them going. Even when they are going off there not very noisy i can still relax and even sleep if i want too.

Hi Ash,
Yes they can be very loud at times buy only a few short blasts a couple times a day. I am thinking maybe you are spoiling your little guy. If he does it all day long there is a problem & you need to address it.
When does he screech For how long Does he do it when he can't see you. Where do you normally keep his cage indoors or outside. If he is in the cage or out of it.
Ash a bit more info might help. I know my little girl is quiet most of the time but when she gets going she is loud but it only last for like 30 seconds & she stops.
Robyn.

I have a pair and they are not overly noisy, the Lorikeets next door are noisier, especially when the wild ones are about. The GCC are in with the Kaks who are very quiet.

Mine are chatty, but not overly. Mostly when it is feed times - they get all excited and make a bit of noise. Like Shaun, I have noisier birds, so sometimes it is a pleasure to hear them for a change.

Mine are quiet...unless they hear lorikeets..then they go off! Or when i cover them up at night. But generally are pretty quiet...but I do have alex's so the green cheeks might be loud to some peoples standards but compared to my 2 alex's (i.e. pretending to be cockatoos, phone rings, coughing, sneezing, choking and laughing) they're quiet

Ash are you still having trouble with your so very spoilt GCC screeching. Sounds like he needs a serious talking to. It is now an attention seeking habit & probably hard to break.
First i would take him out of your room, maybe put him in the laundry & make sure you cover his cage. Also try putting him outside he could be bored being inside all the time. I am a great believer that a bird needs some outside time in his cage on a daily basis. All my bubs when weaned are kept outside on my back deck. I really don't have to much behavior probs.

yeah, im still having trouble, we woke me up at 7am screetching because light came in the door -.- i dont really thing we can put him outside :S the neighboors kids will steal him/and cage and the backyard has two jack russels which will try and eat him, he comes out into the loungeroom in his cage, so hmm :/

Mine are a little noisy when there is light in the morning and when they are covered for night or when the lights go out. Or hear lorikeets...or sometimes when they hop in the nestbox but only for short periods of time...except for the morning, thats until i open their cage. But yeah, could be an attention thing.
