this bird happened to follow me home lol

Hi everyone sorry i haven't been on lately computers had to moved so we could get new carpet put in. Well stupid me happened to walk into the pet shop and low and behold they had a friendly cockatiel in he/she hoped straight up onto my hand when offered all the other tiels would hop up but then hop straight back onto the play gym. This one wanted to stay on me. He/she gave me kisses,let me pat him/her on the back. When i went to put it back it climped up to my shoulder, when i finally got it back on the play gym he/she lifted his/her foot up begging to be picked up again. I left the shop without him/her. About 30 minutes later i just had to go back to have another look low and behold as soon as this same tiel saw me he/she step up straight away gave me another kiss preened my hair then went down to play gym for something to eat, then came runing back to my hand with food in his beak. How could i say no to this such sweet bird he/she was just begging to come home with me. So i brought him even tho he was quite expensive for a cockatiel. They also hand reared galahs that were the same price as the tiels $120 but they were sold, plus my dad would have killed me if i brought home a galah. This pet store is alright with there birds all the hand reared birds are on a play gym not locked up in cages and get handled daily. They also hand hand reared blue indian ringnecks but weren't interested in them. I'm going to hold off on getting a eclectus for now one day i will get one but not anytime soon. Mind you i just happened to get this tiel on stormy weather. So if anyone has any good storm names feel free to pop some up. So far i have Storm,Thunder & Lighting, My boyfriend likes Storm. Since being home all he wants is to be cuddled and on my shoulder, But i have left him in his cage to settle in. His eatten so far a few seeds and drank some water. Here are some pictures.

If you're going for rain names, something gentle to reflect her nature, like raindrop or misty, might work. Or you could just call her Rain like the actress Rain Pheonix.

I once had a pearl cockatiel. He was a wonderfully affectionate bird as well. Have fun with him. Cockatiels have a great sense of humour.

CONGRATULATION Tara, I think your new birdy made a good choice. You have plenty of time to consider an Eclectus. I am so proud of you to have made such a mature decision.
