Hi All
My name is Kaylene and I am new to the forum and pretty new to bird ownership too.....I have a little sun conure named Tsiki .....he/she is a sweet little fella and already proving to be of much charactor. Tsiki is my first bird and I'm hoping that the friendly people on this forum may at times offer some advice and share some tips and tricks with me........

I picked Tsiki up from the man that hand reared him in September and I think we've bonded really well...........in fact the attachment for Tsiki is becoming very dependant as he now screems when I leave the room....oh dear.....this one we will have to work on :-) ..............I would love to hear from other people with suns or similar charactor birds so I can learn a litte more about them.......

Thanks for the welcome.......I hope to have a bit of time to come in and have a better look around here soon.......I have so much to learn about birds..........Tsiki is so full of energy and is such a cool little charactor I want to know as much as I can to try to keep him happy...........

Ocianaussi how long have you had Stormy? .......I now seem to have a problem with Tsiki that when I leave the room even if it's just for a minute he calls and calls...........it doesn't seem to matter if I talk back or stay quiet he keeps going and takes quite some time to settle.
He seems to know when I'm going to work though.......if I pick up my keys and bag he doesn't screech......he just watches me leave...............funny how he knows..........

Would love to hear if other people have the same problem or any advice on how to deal with the little noisy one...........:-P ...........

No worries. Yes, Stormy does that too - to a certain extent. When I come home from work he screams louder than my 2 dogs. When I'm upstairs and he can hear me but not see me, he complains. I just ignore him and he now settles quickly. Good luck!

yes I ignore the screaming in my house too. Mine don't carry on when I leave the room but they do hear the car come home and they carry on then. The babies I handraise just scream when they see me lol as I am the food giver. ;D
