Well, AJ must trust me and love me! He came into the shower with me this afternoon! LOL I don't think I've ever seen a sadder looking bird - boy he was wet! But he LOVED it. I dried him off with a towel as much as he would let me (didn't particularly like the towel thing though) then I got my hairdryer out. WELL! That was just the BEST thing, as far as AJ was concerned. I think he would have had me stand there with the dryer for hours! (I was VERY careful not to have it too close to him, or too hot) I can't believe I haven't had larger parrots in my life sooner! I can completely understand why they become so addictive!

I love galahs. I had a pet one her name was Bo (I was into Days of our "dreary's" back then and Bo was a good looking young man lol and my Bo turned out to be a girl ....... but her named stayed).
She was a fantastic pet and very loving and a funny little birdie (well not so little actually). She loved her showers too especially under the hose.

They have fantastic personalities, don't they? I think they are quite under-rated here in Aust in a lot of ways. AJ just loves EVERYONE. Even my younger dog, Midnight! (I haven't let my other dog, Zeus, too up close and personal yet - he is huge) If anyone calls me a galah, or I hear someone call another a galah, I reckon that is the greatest complement! ;D

Bo was the only animal ever to be able to get a bone from my first female staffy. she would just about kill for her bone but Bo had her bluffed. lol she bit them just because she could and they would get out of her way quickly lol (I had two staffies........but only Rana was protective of her food).
