There is a breeder up here near Coffs (Emerald Beach) that has baby galahs, hand reared etc. They are the WA ones. It is called Emerald Aviaries. They sell their babies for $350 - which is a great price. They can freight, too, I believe.
(I didn't get my AJ from them, because I had the opportunity to adopt her - ie I didn't pay for her - but I was going to go to Emerald Aviaries)
Cheers!

HI ALL, after doing much research I have decided not to get a Galah. I have not got a hand tame bird (besides my 4 year old semi tame budgie bob) and I really want to get one. So I have decided to still get a hand tame bird. I will probaly get either a Rainbow Lorikeet or Scaly Breasted Lorikeet. Thanks for all your great help Kind Regards, lyrebird.

So what made you change your mind on a galah??? Lorikeets are a nice bird and very playful and cheeky too. Well I did heaps of research and most web pages on Galahs said that eastern Galahs can be a bit hard to keep (aparantly Westerns are a pleasure to keep, but there are none for sale near me). Another reason I decided not to get a Galah is the fact that they are quite large and with 35 birds running around my house, I decided to go for a smaller parrot. Can't wait for a Lorikeet!!! ;D Kind regards, Nick.
