Just going through threads and google, i always thought king parrots were sexually dimorphic? like, i thought the male was the green one and female were red?

They are but it's the other way round, though the females have some red as well.

The ekkies are green and females are red/blue (eclectus parrots)
In kings as juvenilles are the same colour as hens until they mature when the male develops red on his chest. Hens have a little red diffused through their front

All above are correct males are red and females only have a little red. In my sig you will see elmo looks female but is a male without his colours. However there are some mutations which makes it harder to tell the males and females apart. Also alot of breeders DNA sex as you might not know visual sex till 8 or 9 months at the earliest and buys will not buy without a DNA cert as they can't tell the difference even if the breeders can. www.avianweb.com/australiankingparrots.htmlScroll down and YES the yellow bird is a King Parrot

I had another link before my computer crashed that had a bunch of King mutations and their names but now I can't find it

When ever we had Dilute Kings in the shop we sold them as Dilutes, a yellow king is a lutino one. Which is an even nicer bird! But each to there own, its the problem with names that arent Scienetific!

Agree Ben mutations in the Kings are not well know nor are they around. Do you have any pictures of a Dilute or are they they same as the "yellow/Lutino"? It would be nice to have pictures of a Normal, Dilute, Lutino and Pied all next to each other to be able to visually tell the different and see the different types of mutations.
