will let my neighbour know as he has some so they might be attracted to them. Also i get alot of birds coming to my birds so will leave a cage open with food (I am just up the road form deakin) will spread the word with my foster families that are around me as they might also be attracted to their birds. Have you notifed Burwwod Bird Hospital?

Thanks for all the messages of support. I haven't contacted the local bird vet yet. I can hear cassie calling for me at times and saw her this morning in the distance but got confused where I was calling from and she flew off over Deakin again. Our other cockateils continue to call out and I am hoping they follow the chirps of their friends and come closer to home. It gets frustrating knowing at least one is close to home and yet so far. My son went into Deakin to try and find them from where we thought the were but had no luck as yet

put flyers up everywhere too. I have been so lucky to get most of my birds back over the years and over the past few years.....100% rate of birdies return ;D .... I have lost Takoda a few times (my handraised Alexandrine) and I recently lost both B1 and B2 just before xmas (eclectus male chicks) just as I was weaning them........I put out over 170 flyers and got them back within 24 hours.

Thanks for the suggestion Vankhari. I will put some posters together and place them at the local shops, vets etc. Its great to hear you have had success in the past. I just hope cassie and scooter are safe wherever they are. Scooter hatched 2 years ago this month the day after I married. His mum and dad are still with us and were calling out this morning to both him and cassie. Scooter also had a special friend who has been pining for him. As for cassie well she just loves humans to kiss and get scratches off.

We got my daughter's cat back after a week with flyers, it turned out to be someone we know that found him about 1km from home. He had a collar with his name etc, but it wasn't on him when he was found. It is well worth the effort.
