My wife and I went out to Laraine's place this morning and bought three budgies off her, two of them are Dominant pied, one male and one female, the third one looks like a male and is a yellow faced blue pied, she also has another one just out of the box that is a very nice young bird which i have my eye on  , very nice birds indeed, they are all a great size and are ideal for breeding stock I am very happy with them and even though they are only about ten weeks old I am already looking at what birds I am going to try and pare them with, Initially i was going to let them choose their mates but the more I look at them the more I would like to pare them off with a selected mate. Well John weakened and bought the last one on Saturday, "she" I think, is a very pretty little bird (very faint yellow with patches of blue). Her mother is sitting on eggs again (her last for this season) so will be interesting to see what colours she throws this time. Shhh don't tell John.  |

Hi John, how are the young budgies going? They have all settled in well Laraine, they seem to be pairing up with other birds in the aviary, I am very happy with them and hoping for some nice babies from the offspring, the two pied birds seem to be one of each, male & female, so it will be interesting to see what they give. John |
