As I posted in the love bird section my love birds have gone on a breeding spree, well the budgies have followed them and as was with the love birds I have changed their feeding regime, I have at the moment 10 babies and another six hens sitting on eggs, one box in particular has three babies at an advanced stage one is a black eyed yellowed, another is I think a Lutino, red eyes could be an albino and the third is looking like a yellow face blue, the mother is a plain green and dad is staying right away I haven't sighted him yet and not sure of his colour.
I have lost a couple of babies due to a nasty hen bird but that has been rectified and she is now inside so it seems that I wont have that problem now, I am really pleased with the young birds I bought of Laraine and they all seem to have paired off, I am looking forward to many more babies and some really good colours.

Glad all your budgies are breeding, mine are too. They started late this year but I have 7 babies hatched with more eggs to hatch.

I forgot to put one very important ingredient in my feeding regime, lots of sprouted seed, and having a look this afternoon I have one hen sitting on around 7 eggs for the first time and she has managed to hatch a the first one ;D.

If you had a hen causing trouble, I have to ask. Do you have more nests than hens? Hens are far more likely to cause trouble if you do not. LML
