Hi all,
flying through to introduce myself and flock. Karen here, the slave to Oscar and Magenta (SI Eclectus) and Chirp n Dale (neopehma splendida, Scarlet chested parrots). Al and I have not been involved with parrots for very long, about 18 months and our first were the scarlets - bought from a pet store on black saturday......the place was horrible and had lost a of of birds in the heat the previous weekend. Next arrrived Magenta, female eckie, Al bought her for me as a Valentines day pressie Talk about being thrown in at the deep end!!! She was not hand reared with any skill or care and had been for sale for about 6 months.........We adopted Oscar about a year ago and he changed our live yet again Magenta LOVES him (most of the time) as he is like a naughty big brother. To cut a long story short, she now flies, plays lots and is much more friendly, he doesn't chew his feathers as much. Every day something new happens and I am looking forward to getting to know people and their flock here.
