I had a spare aviary so I got a couple of pair of Gold Finches and a couple of pair of Zebra finches, a few nesting boxes and some nesting material, that was a week ago, If I keep going I will be returning to my original set up when I first became serious about birds, oh well it keeps me out of the pub ;D ;D ;D ;D John

It all sounds like it is happening at your place!
Good on ya John, I loved my gold finches. I had to get rid of them though, because we have a mixed aviary of finches, they were too intrusive to everyone elses nests so they had to go. They are such a pretty finch. And I adore zebs, I had three at the start of this season and now I have about 20! They are great little breeders.
For me, my finches are like watching an oversized fish tank - I find them very theraputic, I can sit and watch them for hours.
