I had a call yesterday from a lady wanting to buy a Albino Handreared Ringneck from me. She said she had a one month old Lutino Boy, I asked if she was feeding the bird because at 1 mt it would be only pin feather stage, and her bird was fully feathered. She said the lady in the pet shop told her it was 1 mt old. She said it was a boy because it liked her and not her boyfriend and 4 breeders had told her it would be a boy because of that reason. LOL. She didn't believe me when I told her that it was hard to sex a ringneck without having in DNA sexed or waiting for the bird to get his ring around his neck at about 2 years old. Then she said the bird has a pink ring aroung its neck and was told by a breeder they get a pink ring when they are babies and it changes to a black ring when it is older. I tryed to explan to her that the bird was over 2 years old. I dont think she believed anything I was saying. I got the impression that she though Pet Shops new more than me. LOL

that is pretty funny what pet shops will do for a sale. saying its only 1 month old. obviously the buyer has no idea about ringnecks. i know before i bought my first ringneck i looked up about them before i bought one so i knew what i was looking for in a healthy bird. there is only one pet shop down here that i would buy birds from. the others u just dont know what you are getting
