I get a phone call from my Vet asking if i can help rehome a short bill corella & of course how can i say no. The young couple that dropped him in were from WA & they were doing the big trip around OZ. On their way up the east coast this little bird flew into their caravan & sort of made it, its home. The couple tried to find his home before moving but no luck. So they made it to Cairns with him/her. Anyway what a dear little bird. Now come on how can i resist that face. ;D Took some pics. She!! i think its a she is a little grubby, doesn't look like she has seen water for a good bath. Will do that tomorrow.

Tracey, i think i was there enough for 1 week another one might have been to much, so i kind of sneaked it in here.
I think this bird is going to be so hard to get to eat good food. The couple that dropped her off bought a whole bag of black sunflower seed. They said that was all she ate. Well i tried the veggies & everything i give my birds & it just tossed it all on the floor.
But OMG does she love men. Last night she jumped off the cage went straight to my hubby a sat in his lap rubbing her head in his hand & being a right old smooch. It was funny really my hubby not being a bird freak like me was a bit apprehensive at first. He was worried she would bite him. Well looks like she has a forever home here ;D

Geez, and I thought I had it bad! I always seem to be taking in strays. I even buy birds at sales because they look sad. I just buy them to get them out of there. She is a little sweetie, now you have to name her, feed her water her, and best of all spoil her.
