Thanks for the kind welcome back. :-) The trip went exceptionally well and my firm is now well ahead of developing a fully functional and commercially viable aviary management solution for quarantine facilities, zoological parks, wildlife parks and conservation parks, plus for the home user breeder.
Our client OS will want a simple POS (point of sale) incorporated into the application, meaning that they can run sales through plus offer various facilities e.g. Credit notes, stock receiving, stock/inventory management, laybys, etc. All these facilities will be developed for the enterprise (commercial) edition, but some features will trickle down to the Standard (home breeder) edition. :-)
Regards Tim

I may very well take you up on that offer. ;-) With that said, I already have a number of medium to large breeders within mainland Australia (incl Tassie), Singapore, UK, Germany, New Zealand, Canada and USA awaiting with bated breath for a beta version.

Welcome back Tim it sounds like you have had a very succesful trip. Your program sound great it is indeed something that is needed in the general avian comunity keep us informed I for one am very interested. John John, I absolutely agree. that is exactly why I am taking the time and effort to develop a viable product. In fact, I have spent a lot of time and money visiting and researching the various processes used by medium - large breeders and commercial facilities in their documenting and recording department. I recently had the privilege of visiting behind-the-scenes of a large Bird Park OS and was amazed by the absolute lack of coherence with their IT infrastructure. Once my solutions are ready for release, I will have a number of versions: Standard and Enterprise. These will also be developed for other international economies: NZ, Singapore, USA, Canada, UK, Germany and France. Along with the core program, I will have a dedicated application specifically for quarantine facilities (e.g. AQIS). Regards Tim

That's very interesting Tim how long before you are ready to release the application to the market place.

That's very interesting Tim how long before you are ready to release the application to the market place. John John, Quite some time off still. We're looking at an absolute minimum time frame of 3-4 months.
