The Budgie aviary is a hive of activity at the moment, a lot of first time parents are about to fledge their young and I have to tell you I have some very nice baby birds at the moment, each box that has babies in it has at least four young, one box has three yellow and one green another box has four different colours ranging from blue, white and yellow to harlequin they are amazing, the other boxes are different and various colours, I am very happy with the way things have worked out colour wise.
I have put a lot of work into his breeding season and I bought a lot of young birds late last year with this years breeding season in mind at the moment it has worked out very well, the birds I bought were selected due to colour and age, the young birds I got from Laraine have started to breed and they are very good parents, so needles to say I am a very happy breeder at the moment ;D ;D

That's one of the things I love about budgies, you never know what colours you will get. Happy breeding John.

I agree, budgies are just great. They are so unpredictable with their colouring. It is always a pleasure to look in and see the difference just in one nest.

When I feed the birds of a morning I always sit for a while and just watch them and this morning the aviary is a flood of colour with all the babies starting to leave the boxes, it really makes me wonder why I ever got out of breeding them in big way, it has taken me about 6 months to get back where I was a couple of years ago and I will never stop again, they are a joy.
John. ;D ;D

Isn't it great to sit back and enjoy nature, makes you glad to be alive. I love watching my budgies when I put their greens in, they all get stuck into them.

We do the same John, after we feed our birds, we sit and watch them for a while. You get to know your birds that way.
And yes Laraine, nature is wonderful. I'm so glad to be living in paradise and see all the wild birds as well as my own!
