AJ has flown away.  She is clipped, but a couple of her flights have grown back so she discovered she can fly again. The outer flights are still clipped. Her favorite words right now are 'scratch' 'ta-ta' and 'peek-a-boo' Lost her today (20 Sept) late afternoon. Bonville, NSW. 10 mins south of Coffs Harbour. She is only 1 year old. How awful...hope you find her soon, where have you advertised, checked...have you notified Parrotalert.com? This is an international parrot lost and found, on the internet, advertised on lots of other parrotforums...the more who are looking the better chance she'll be found. There are some Aussies on a couple of other sites I visit I'll post AJ's loss on them also. Good luck!

Carley I posted AJ's missing on four other sites, have you contacted the RSPCA, parrot rescue services, the police, vets, and put fliers out? Keep trying. Put her cage outside so if she flies nearby she might recognise it and know where home is. Does she have favourite music? Play it outside, she may recognise this and use it as a "homing beacon"...just keep at it. Contacted the local radio? Put an ad in the lost and found in the papers? Good luck.

Raven, Laraine, thankyou! I did submit an ad to the paper, which hasn't been approved yet, but it's OK! AJ IS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!! She came back this afternoon.  |

I am so glad for you that you got AJ back. ;D
For me though I am sad to say Takoda went missing last Thursday.....he was spotted on someones verandah but they couldn't get to him in time......and I saw him flying around and calling on Saturday. I have done 2 letter box drops and told everyone I can think off and put fliers up in shops etc.......I am still hopeful ........ I also put Gunny on my fliers too ...... just in case.
