Well as some of you know monts is suffering from separation anxiety..

so this morning i rummaged up an old budgie size round mirror and put it in his cage... he hissed and hissed but i was running late for my bus so i had to leave him to it..so i'll get home to a very happy satisfied baby or he'll be scampering in the corner on the floor of the cage... i hope it's the first one lol

Hi Jo, it is so hard when your pet tiel is suffering from seperation anxiety & trying to find the right thing to do to help him. Sometimes indroducing a new toy will upset them a bit , but hopefully Monty will see himself & thinks it is company. I have not had a problem giving mirrors to 6 of my h/raised male pet teils. They are still loving to me & very affectionate & sometimes they attack their mirror with zest telling it off but it can provide a bit of company when we are not around. I hope all goes well for you & Monty. Let us know how he is with the mirror. Cheers Anna

the mirror was a flop!! i got home to a very very very scared little bird who looked like he had been cowering on the floor all day (big pile of poop)......so next have to try something else
