I've read both good and bad reports about feeding pellets to budgies, and would appreciate some advice from those much more experienced in these matters than me.
I'm just wondering how many other budgie owners feed their budgies pellets, and, if so, what is the recommended brand to buy, and the best place to buy them?
I'm also open to reasons why "not" to feed pellets to budgies.
Cheers,
John.

I am one of those ........ don't like pellets people but having said that........I have been known to buy pellets on a few occassions lately. I buy vetafarm maintenance. I did buy the nutriblend but they just smelled like sugar to me. You will need to buy the small ones for the budgies. I also do believe they still need a little seed in their diet as well as fresh stuff and sprouts and or soaked seeds etc too. I am sure others will come on and give their opinions too ;D

Oh and the reason I have bought pellets of late......my cockatiel has become a seed junkie and was not eating her fresh stuff. I converted her to pellets and she started to eat her fresh stuff again.

I bought pellets to try my birds on. They looked at them like they were going to eat them! (the pellets eat the birds LOL). I tried to convert them for around a month but the birds beat me

Yeah I tried on a few occassions........but I actually mixed Snowy's seed with some pellets then gradually made the seed less.
