I lost my baby Albino as the little thing decided she would try and come out the box WAY too early. Think she fell badly on the ground and died there. Her sister did the same thing but survived the fall. I put her back in the box but she was wanting to come out straight away again! At least mum and dad were looking after her while she was on the ground.
The lutino baby is doing well and seems to have stopped crashing into the walls now (no more blood nose). A lime girl had a sore foot so I picked her up and cuddled her. When I tried to put her back on the perch she refused to leave my finger so I guided her to the wire where she happily climbed there. I just love the newly fledged look of Red Rumps, they have a look of innocence about them and still have their "baby faces". I could cuddle them all day! Unfortunately with how well they bred this year I now have a problem of housing them. Must have to sell off the Princesses as quick as possible. Pet shop offered me $80 a pair for them, hate taking that but don't see alot of choice.

It's sad about the albino, some are just too adventurous. They are funny when they start to fly, my baby lutino would fly towards the door everytime I opened it, which was a worry. She is good now. Her mother is sitting on eggs again which are due to hatch soon, which will give me something to look at.

I will continue with breeding these guys, they are such good parents and none are bothered by nest inspections. I still have my Bourke's and Elegants but only have one pair of ear in the breeding cabinets. Only the Elegants have shown interest so far.

My pink Bourke pair and the Elegants both lay clear eggs, so am a bit disappointed. Good luck with yours.
