After looking for a local breeder of Mandarin ducks for over a year now I have finally found someone!!! I am happy to announce I will be picking up a pair around about March hopefully.  I had an enclosure ready since last year for some but never came across any good breeders. Apparently there are a few breeders of them around here. I seriously can't wait to get them here as they will fit in perfectly.. |

I have to wait long as one of his hens are sitting on eggs atm and the young should be ready by then.. he is going to get one of his young and source out an unrelated partner for it for me  |

Mandarin Duck are so cute. My friend Bob has 4 little ducklings about 2 weeks old. Think his other pair have eggs to. I had some of his eggs in my incubator but they were infertile. I don't know much about them but if he takes the first lot of eggs the hen will lay a second clutch. For some reason her first clutch is always infertile. We incubate just in case we get a fertile egg or 2. Tracey a goose will drive you nuts & a pig will destroy all your plants.  |

lol ......... I have wanted a pet pig since I was in my early thirties.......and lived on 1 acre then. Oh well it is nice to dream ;D

so the breeder I originally was gonna get my ducks off had a bad year, but I am excited to say that I will be getting my first pair in 2 weeks!!! |

that is unreal, i love mandarin ducks, they just look so exotic and special...when i get the oppurtunity to put them somewhere ill put my hand up for some too! congrats but |
