I thought I should let everyone know how we have been going as I havent posted alot lately. We have been flat out with everything and dont get alot of free time.
The boys are going really well. Cooper has started pre school and is having a great time. Riley is growing up so fast and really is a great baby. No crying and sleeps well. Such a happy little boy.
As for the birds, we have bred a few so far. The surprise of the season was the gang gangs laying. The eggs hatched and am now raising two gang gang chicks in the hope that they lay again.
I have a major mitchell just about weaned that was hatched in the incubator, with another hathing out on Monday night with alot of assistance after pipping and not going any further after 48 hours. Another 3 major eggs are in the incubator.
The sun conures have also bred. I have four chicks in the nest with the second pair laying, but mucking around again this year and not sitting all the time.
Along with the other birds mentioned before in other posts, I think we are doing well. I have learnt alot this season due to the help of some great people.

Oh yes, finches breeding, ringnecks with babies that have fledged and are going down again, quakers breeding (the one with the sore chest is now back with his woman - and boy is he happy - they have four eggs), scarlets breeding, baby bourkes, baby canaries. We've sold off most of the parrots, we now have less than 20. Maybe when this upgrade is finished we might start again. And Chuckles...............well she is not breeding............but she is still just the most beautiful girl.

It's hard to believe we are getting anything with all this crazy weather. We are still getting extremely cold days................and it is almost summer! The weird part is......it can be so cold one day and then a really hot day the next

I'm glad your quaker is breeding Ellen, such a happy ending. I'm very proud of him Laraine, it has been a long winding road of ups and downs. He is just so happy to be back with his girl. And I am so happy to see him like this. Now I just have to wait and see if the eggs hatch. I'm not too worried if it doesn't happen, they are in the big mixed aviary with the few parrots I have left, and it can't get quite noisy in there at times. Plus, the magpie that I now have is in there too.
