Hope you remember Bubba the Corella we found in the mud a while back ? Well Im starting to see him doing some very different things lately .
Is it normal for him to sleep flat out on his tummy , head down and all?
Also is it normal for him to hang upside down from his bottom perch then just let go and drop on his back , then kick his legs and scream till he gets upright again ?
He has started doing this little dance thing with his head if you call him and he doesnt want to come .
So is he being a clown or is he a bit touched lol ?
Hope its normal coz its bloody funny to watch the things he does at times.
Think I need to carry a camera with me from now on.

I have never owned a corella but I see them and the galahs in the wild and they do some funny things at times. They like to hang upside down from branches and flap and scream. As long as he is eating well and appears healthy and normal in every other way.........I would say he is just young and playful ;D

I think so too , I think he is just getting to a playful stage ...this morning he was wrestling with a pinecone ( on his back again )and screaming his lungs out , I guess this type of screaming will have to be tolerated .

My galah used to roll around on the grass and scream in delight, flapping, rolling and screaming ....... especially if the sprinkler was on at the same time ;D

that does sound funny i have a corella and at times i really have to wonder if he is normal they do some pretty wierd un bird like stuff some times, but it is very good value and seems to be a common trait between corellas, they are nuts i think they will do anything they can to get that little bit of extra attention..

actually I can remember a few years back (probably around 5 years ago) we had heard that someone in Brisbane was taking their African Grey into work in a pet store in Brisbane........so on one of our trips down for a volleyball comp we called in to the pet store to have a look at the AG. I am not sure what I expected from the grey.......but it just sat there dunking its food in water and basically ignoring everything going on around it. But very quickly I noticed a corella doing his level best to get my attention..........and my attention is what he got ;D .......... he even gave me a tongue kiss (well he attempted to anyway lol) ........ he was the funniest bird ;D
