Tracey how long has she been sitting? Also did she sit as she laid them or waited till they were all laid? If today is day 14 I'd leave them a few more days just to be sure. Wills and Friar are off to the "big bird" aviary tomorrow morning.OMG I think I am going to ...my kids are all grown up. darn it's really sad just thinking bout it....didn't feel this sad when I put the other babies in there, but Wills and Friar are special!! Will let you alll know how they go.

An update: Wills and Friar have moved over quickly and comfortably to the "big kids aviary",though they are smaller than their sibling from the last clutch and the other canaries in there AND mum is now sitting on 4 eggs from her new hubby. Wills and Friar seem to be hens btw...which means my boys seem to be outnumbered by about 3 or 4 to1....hmmm and trust cock birds to be more expensive to buy.

They have forgotten me already LOL. Well Wills came and said hello through the wire this morning but Friar is way to busy with his sibling and new canary friends to bother.
I am just happy that they made it after all the hard work (hope don't need do it again in a hurry unless a princess) and hopefully next season I will be putting their babies pics up for all to see.

It's getting a bit late in the season for Princess eggs seb, now having said that I have a hen sitting on eggs at the moment and this is her third clutch this season and to this point no babies.
This is not uncommon this breeding season here in Sydney as every breeder I have spoken too is suffering the same fate, my mate who owns a bird shop tells me that the way the weather has been (2006 2007 ) there will be nothing around in Sydney other than Budgies and Cockatiels, he is Importing a lot of his birds from interstate.
So you may get eggs but don't get your hopes up I hope you get some babies it would be a nice new year present for you.

how cute. How old are they when they start to whistle?
Seb my male stopped whistling a few months ago while he was molting.......sort of looks like he might still be molting too. I bought a hen and she layed eggs........blah blah blah.......the eggs were no good.........as I expected. But Songa has not gone back to singing. I separated them today but their cages are still side by side, just they are not physically together. How can i encourage him to sing again.........is what i am doing ok.
Oh and my female wants to make a nest again but I am not putting a nest back in yet. Is this ok???
