i'm afraid this has been a bad idea for me to join these forums! lol i'm wanting wanting wanting allllll these birds!!!! i find myself keeping saying "one day i want one of those" "one day i want a lori" one day this..one day that lol
i've got only the one tiel at the moment..but thinking seriously of getting another one....i'm in a unit though..so can't get too many birds...our landlord is great..she said i can have birds...as long as they are in really big cages!! so in other words she wants me to have them only if they are treated well..she doesn't care about the actual fact of having them in her unit hehe...
i want more birds!!

Hi Jo, what you are suffering is the bird lovers syndrome, the bug is starting to bite, causing you to wan't to buy more and more birds ;D ;D It's time for you to join Pollyparrots bird anonymous group, before it's too late Though I'm not sure Polly should be involved with this group, as She seems to buy new birds just about every week ;D ;D ;D Cheers Tony

yes bill..i think that is the only way i will be able to cope...but then the question is....same cage? buy a new cage (lots of $$$)?? what if monty is a girl and a get a boy..then there is BABIES to think of ..which is scary....see there is so much to think about lol....
at the moment the only thing helping me is buying more and more bird toys...which islike sucking on a cough lollie when you are sick..but you really need antibiotics LOL

even if your tiel is female and you get a male just don't attach a nest box then they probably won't breed for you. i have my female and male tiel living together there young birds. There getting on great expect when they both want to eat at the same time thats when they have a bit of a fight.

Hi there, i know just how you feel. I only have 24 tiels and 4 babies now as I sold 3 last week. I decided I had too many and things looked overcrowded a bit so I relented and sold a few. Now the cage looks bare so I am feeling I need to restock. I keep telling myself to save the extra space for some babies I want to keep but i haven't bought a new bird now for about 2 months and the withdrawals are killing me.LOL Oh well...must be off....I can feel the classifieds calling me!!!!ROTFLMAO Jo-Anne

ahhh you people are no good for me!!LOL do you want me to be divorced soon? it's only our 2 yr anniversary today LOL... hubby will kill me if i want too many birds...
i think 2 tiels would be good..only thing is monty is home 8 hours a day from 8am till 5pm all by himself....but from 5 when i get home he is out and with us until we got to bed at about 11... so they will definately need to get along well..both in the cage..and at playtime..
lol..i'm so amazed at how many birds you all have! it's absolutely amazing and crazy and so great all at the same time!! aren't they a lot of work? and are you home all day to tend to them?? monty would love me to be home all day waiting on him hand and foot lol

Ahhhh!!! Symptoms are definite!! So Monty is home all day and needs company and you are only there in the evening!! Sorry but the excuses won't wash with us! We don't need convincing that your Monty needs company! I think you have decided already and we aren't going to jump in and say otherwise! Go get the poor boy a friend for company and end your suffering! If the truth is known it is probably bothering you more than Monty!!LOL It is official guys!!! We have another in-mate!!!ROTFLMAO Jo-Anne

LOL so if hubby yells at me..i'll just send him here..is that ok??lol well i don't think i've got much convincing to do anyway..i had him talked into getting a new cage and getting a pair of lovies..but now i'm concerned about their noise.... so it dawned on me last night that a tiel is the only way to go...and we both fell in love with this dear little fellow in a petshop the other week...a dear little lutino..and he was such a chatterbox..i don't think i'll get a baby baby again..because i thought monty was a boy..but now not sure..so i want to know for sure this next time. i got monty from a breeder at 8 wks old i just know that the one i loved in the shop the other week would be gone by now.. i don't usually like to buy from petshops...coz their "babies" look sso big :S and their adult birds are too wild....so what do you all suggest? lol i'm sure you have some ideas for me to consider!!hehehe

So use the china or cotton idea! Get a white one ...looks like cotton...and give it a chinese name! Covered it all in one go then!! Jo-Anne

Only 4 at the moment Bill! I do have a white one too.....not that I suggested a white one for that reason! Mine are only 4 weeks old though! Won't be ready for at least 4 weeks and this poor girl will die if she has to wait that long! ....and then there is poor lonely Monty to consider!!LOL Jo-Anne
