Next couple of photos - the first is of a baby Sun Conure in 7th Heaven at being preened by 2 young Rainbows. The second is of our Irish Setter inspecting a baby Spotted Turtle Dove that was a wild "fallen out of the nest" baby we were hand raising. Saffy was/is always very good with the babies but always gave a new species a very good check over. Babies learning to fly would sometimes land on her back and she would stop turn her head to look at them, then continue with what she was doing - usually hanging around the kitchen hoping for food cheers, Mike

Great photos. I wish my sun conure was so obliging. My lorikeet wanted to be friends with him, but Tinga was 5 & had not seen another bird since leaving the pet shop & going to live at his old owners house. He hates the lorikeets.
Your dog sounds like a very gentle soul.

I'm loving all these photos. All these babies are just so cute. And what a gentle dog you have, mine wouldnt be caught anywhere near my bird.

Everyone who has kept a Sun Conure knows how they love to get inside things, whether it be bags, clothes, boxes or happy huts. Babies are no exception, and these two photos show two excited baby Suns who have just discovered a hand bag! cheers, Mike

Today's photos are of the budgie aviary from our old shop in Mooloolaba. We had an aviary devoted just to adult budgies, and developed a reputation for the quality and choice of budgies in the shop. After the end of the breeding season for the show breeders, when they had picked out their keepers we used to buy in large lots and could have up to 200 adults in the shop at one time. These two photos give an idea. The second photo has around 120 budgies in the photo eating some fresh green panic grass seeds just put into the aviary. cheers, Mike

Ever wondered what 11 Alexandrines waiting for a shower look like? Probably not, but here it is anyway My daughter's 11 Alexes are the ones involved - normally she only takes 3 or 4 to the shower at any one time but was feeling adventurous this time. cheers, Mike
