Seven baby budgies now. Looks like things have stopped for now. Thought I might get more, one female was sitting on about 7 eggs, but only 1 has hatched.

Don't give up on the other six eggs Laraine just leave them and she may hatch more, the one that hatched may have been layed a lot earlier than the rest, it does happen.

Laraine when Shrekie layed her first fertile clutch they hatched about 1 week after they were due to hatch ........ according to my calculations. I was honestly quite shocked to walk into the aviary and see a dead baby bird on the floor of the aviary and the next day more hatched. She lays her eggs and once she has finished she then sits. Whereas Skye starts to lay and immediately incubates.........hences Shrekies eggs all hatch around the same time, and Skyes hatch around 3 to 4 days apart and if there are 3 eggs then the youngest is at least 1 week younger than the older. I know Robyn said she had a big gap between one clutch of her ekkies.........2 or 3 weeks I think she said?

I have 11 baby budgies at different stages at the moment and heaps more eggs to hatch, one hen who is having her first clutch is doing well hatching her eggs and has three at the moment with still another 3 to go, I have 10 lovebirds at the moment with varying colour but two in particular are showing a distinct colour shade of yellow, looking good at the moment.

You have quite a flock of babies. That makes 8 for me now with the possibility of a couple more. I have 1 girl that keeps laying eggs and then leaving them and moving to another box. She has 1 at the moment. I noticed this morning that my peachies are sitting on eggs again. They made their in the seed catcher since I took all the boxes out a while back.

Well that is good news John (Bossman). Did you manage to sell your baby budgies to the man who called me? The oldest of my babies is the same colour as the last one you bought, maybe John might like that one, I think it is female.
