My african greys are the first of this year on eggs, we have around 10inches of snow on the ground at moment but there sitting tight. Im going to use this thread to update you on my breeding season.

I'm amazed that they are laying eggs in the middle of winter, I thought all parrots bred in summer.

We would like some of your sunshine asharee. Many parrots will breed year round ive bred many greys in winter and summer, our galahs will be on eggs by end of feb.

Update on the 3 african grey eggs, all hatched but i found 2 dead chicks and a cold baby which is now safely in the brooder 2 days old and doing fine.

well excellent news that they all hatched......but sad about the loss of 2 of them. Good luck with the little one.....I am sure you dont need luck though ;D

Baby is fine, this pair have parent reared in the past so didnt expect to be hand rearing.

Galahs pr1 layed first egg yesterday 26th feb, i have 2 reliable breeding prs and second pr should lay soon. Sadly the baby grey died at 3 days from a crop infection.

Hopefully the greys may lay again. Im also hopeing my macaws may breed this year as blue headed and red fronts are both now breeding age.
