It's a male Lutino so I am keeping this one. He is so funny watching him trying to fly. I'm hoping she will go down again although the season before last she only had one clutch. One cockatiel has gone off her eggs so I have put them under the other one.

Elegant Parrot is sitting on an egg, plus there are 2 Bourke eggs now. The cockatiel that went off the eggs has laid more and they were both sitting this morning. Another tiel is sitting on an assortment of eggs.

The Lutino Red Rump now has 2 new eggs. No babies yet, just a lot of eggs. I hope some of them hatch.

At last after a lot of sitting on eggs (about 25 in 5 breeding boxes) a baby budgie has hatched. Yeh. At least I'll have something to look at. Cockatiels, English budgie and Red Rump are due to hatch around next weekend.

I now have 6 baby budgies acrossd 2 boxes. The Red Rump went off her eggs and the tiels are mucking around again. After both females leaving all their eggs, the pearl has decided to take up residence in the Lutino's box. I hadn't taken the eggs out yet so don't know if she has laid or not but she is sitting in there.

The six baby budgies are just getting their pin feathers, they should be some interesting colours.

The baby budgies are starting to fledge and another show budgie is showing interest in breeding again. I'm hoping the mother will breed again seeing as she has now got the hang of it. Cockatiel pair are sitting on eggs. The 4 are all the same colour, mauve with grey wings and the show babies are pieds. They are much bigger babies.

The mother of the normal 4 is sitting on eggs again, and a cockatiel couple are sitting on eggs as well. I think they will hatch (if they are going to) any day. All the baby budgies have fledged.

I put my normal female Bourke parrot in with the Rosa and Pink Bourkes and was very surprised that she is sitting on an egg ..........don't know if it is fertile but am keeping fingers crossed. She lost her partner quite a while ago so the Rosa is the first male she has seen for a while.

Breeding update: Peachfaces sitting on 6 eggs (usually clear), young budgie sitting on 5 eggs (probably clear). Quail sitting on about 8 eggs, last time 2 hatched but were killed by the other birds I think. Show budgie sitting on an egg.
Cockatiels went off their eggs on that hot, hot Saturday.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Laraine, you never know your peachies might surprise you this time.
I haven't had a super season, but OK considering all the noise from this dam upgrade and the constant movement. My darling little bourkes have just gone down again, they are just little super troopers.

Today I finally discovered who is the egg eater in my show budgie aviary. Twice now she has destroyed the same female's eggs but I caught her in the act today. Grrr. Three show budgie babies in another cage are doing well.
